What to expect

What actually happens
over the two days.

Both days follow the same rhythm: short talks in the morning, practical sessions after the midday break, and time set aside for questions and conversation. Nothing to prepare and no jargon required — just bring the questions you've been meaning to ask. Arrive for one session or stay the whole day, whichever suits you.

Short talks

Morning sessions are plain-language and jargon-free. Each one sets up a theme — how digital assets work, how to keep them safe, what regulators are doing — and leaves room for questions.

Panel discussions

Several people from different parts of the industry on the same stage, with the audience asking the questions. If you've been meaning to ask something, this is when.

Practical sessions

Walk-throughs of wallets, custody and safe storage. You can watch, try things yourself, and ask the person demonstrating.

Open Q&A

Time is set aside after sessions for questions from the room. No question is too basic — plenty of people in the audience are new to this.

Networking breaks

Lunch and an afternoon break are built into both days so a conversation can keep going or start fresh.

Introductions

Say what you're hoping to find when you register and the organising team can point you toward the right person or session.

How a day flows

Both days run on the same shape, so you know what to expect whichever pass you choose.

  1. 1Before 10:00 AM

Collect your badge, grab a drink and find a seat. The opening hour is the easiest time to start a conversation — people are still arriving.

  2. 2Morning

Short talks in plain language. Each one builds a piece of the picture: how digital assets work, what makes them different, why people actually use them.

  3. 3Midday

A proper break in the middle of both days to eat, stretch and carry on a conversation from the morning.

  4. 4Afternoon

The practical side — wallets, custody and staying safe — followed by panels with people working across the industry.

  5. 5Final hour

Deliberately unstructured. Day 1 runs until 6:00 PM and Day 2 until 4:00 PM, and the last stretch is for questions and introductions rather than another slide.

Topics we'll draw on

More time goes to the first few, because plenty of people in the room are new to this — but the deeper subjects are on the agenda too.

  • Bitcoin and blockchain, explained simply
  • Wallets, custody and staying safe
  • Scams and how to avoid them
  • DeFi and decentralised exchanges
  • NFTs and digital ownership
  • Digital asset markets & regulation
  • Crypto regulation in Canada
  • Ethereum and smart contracts
  • Institutional adoption

Who you'll meet

  • People curious about crypto who want clear answers
  • Beginners who don't own crypto yet
  • Investors and traders who want the wider picture
  • Founders, builders and finance professionals
  • Students and anyone considering a change of direction

What you'll leave with

  • A clearer picture of how digital assets work
  • Practical habits for keeping your crypto safe
  • An honest view of where Canadian regulation is heading
  • Contacts across the industry — speakers and fellow attendees
  • A shortlist of what to look into next

Session formats and timings are still being confirmed. Tell us what you'd most like to see.
